What are presets?

Presets are pre-formatted edits for Adobe Lightroom that you can easily apply on your photos. If you are not familiar with this program, it is a professional colouring software for photographers who use it to create a certain look for their photos. With Adobe Lightroom, you can change any colour in image according to your taste and have countless options of making your fotos more/less exposed, saturated, vibrant, etc. The presets can save you time and are a great start to develop your own editing style playing around on Lightroom.

How do I know if the presets are right for me?

If you love taking pictures and are not satisfied with your edits, the presets can help giving your images a different look. With them, it is also easier to create a cohesive feed on Instagram. They adjust colour, lighting, highlight/shadow and others on your pictures. Also check if you like my editing style on @mariandthecity and @mariandthecity.presets.

Do I get a guarantee?

Unfortunately, not. As it’s not a product that we can get back, all sales are final. If my editing (@mariandthecity) is not something you like and want on your pictures, the presets might not be for you! So, it is better to think twice before your purchase. You can see how the pictures look before/after applying different presets on @mariandthecity.presets. We all have different tastes, and the presets might not work for you if you don’t like the colouring style shown there.

Will my pictures look exactly like yours?

No, there’re number of factors that may affect the final outcome. Among them, the device you use to take your photos and the lightning. However, all the presets on my collections have been tested many times and work well on a comprehensive range of images.

What do I need to use Lightroom Presets?

To use the Desktop Presets, you need to download Adobe Lightroom Classic CC on your computer. It costs a monthly subscription paid to Adobe. To use the Mobile Presets, you just need to download the free Lightroom CC app on iTunes (for iPhones) or Google Market (for Androids).

What is the difference between the Desktop and Mobile Presets?

You can use the desktop presets to edit RAW photos shot on DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. If you prefer to take pictures with your camera and work with high resolution images, the desktop version might be better for you. As the Lightroom desktop requires a monthly subscription, I highly recommend you to download and familiarise yourself with the program first before purchase. If you just want to edit pictures taken with your mobile phone before posting them on Instagram, the mobile presets are for you. They are a great way to quickly edit JPEG photos on your phone, but cannot be used on your desktop computer. Mobile presets are compatible with Lightroom CC app available on iTunes for iPhones and Google Play for Android. After you download the app make a short set up, it is easy to switch between the mobile presets just like filters.
